Italian guru of gore Dario Argento brings you this hair-raising tale of terror starring rock singer Meat Loaf.

Sleazy fur trader Jake Feldman (Meat Loaf) will do anything for quality skin. When Jake crosses paths with fur trapper Jameson (John Saxon) offering raccoon pelts caught at the sight of an ancient burial place, Jake jumps at the chance to cash in by stealing them in order to win the heart of a stripper named Shana (Ellen Ewusie). But little does Jake know is that the raccoon pelts are cursed and will bring bloody revenge against anyone who touches them.

“Whew!” That about sums it up for Argento's new Masters of Horror entry, but what the hell, I'll expound. This is horror with a wink and a nod to drive-in theaters and sweaty back seats. This is how it's done. Dare I call it exploitation, but just wait until you see how it ends. Totally mind blowing, not to mention to gore is top notch. So brutal it will make you think twice before throwing on that leather jacket when the temps drop below freezing.

The acting is top notch and Meat Loaf (I will not refer to him as Meat Loaf Aday) is just over the top with his performance. The guy takes it to the hundredth level of hell and actually pulls it off. Its also great to see John Saxon back in action.

I wouldn't give it as many stars as Argento's previous Masters entry 'Jenifer', but this one comes damn close. I can't wait to see what the maestro comes up with for season 3.
