THE LYCANTHROPE Soundtrack Contest! In tandem with the recently announced Dallas promotional screening of 50/50 Films' new indie feature The Lycanthrope, the Pit is pleased to offer a handful of copies of the soundtrack CD as our latest trivia giveaway. The 17-song soundtrack is a compilation of local and national artists covering a variety of different sounds and styles of music including pop, rock, metal, R&B and reggaeton. The soundtrack is “the film’s handshake and each song was written and selected to portray a certain mood for the scene,” Producer/Editor/Composer of 50/50 Films Matt Thompson said. Fans can also go onto the film’s official website to listen to all the songs through the streaming Flash Jukebox, and also purchase the soundtrack directly from the website. One of the featuring artists on the soundtrack is the film’s lead female, Zayra Alvarez who is a #1-charting Latino artist currently competing in Mark Burnett’s reality show, “Rock Star” on CBS where Tommy Lee’s band, Supernova is searching for the lead vocal. Other artists include Calhoun, Eastwood, Killing Machine (formerly of Megadeth), So Far Good, Aralyn, Kirk Tatom (formerly of Deep Blue Something) and Matt Thompson (formerly of quickserv johnny).
