From celebrated Japanese horrormeister Kiyoshi Kurosawa, the auteur behind Ringu and Ju-On (aka The Grudge) comes Pulse, the terrifying tale in which a young Tokyo man who recently committed suicide suddenly reappearing to his friends in ghostly, grainy computer screen images. Is he trying to warn his friends, or is something more sinister afoot? As technology and preternatural forces converge, more of the friends begin to fall victim to the malevolent evil. Originally released in 2001, this film predates the "J-Horror" movement that spawned several American remakes. On Sunday, 23 October 2005, the American Movie Classics (AMC) network will be presenting a special broadcast of the original Friday The 13th, marking the twentieth-fifth anniversary since its release. Intercut with the airing will be newly-conducted interview clips with some of the makers and performers in this seminal work. Afterward, Friday The 13th, Part IV will also be shown.
