LAND OF THE DEAD

LEATHERHEADS UNITE!

We have decided to set up an online petition after hearing the -awful- news that the makers of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake-prequel are considering other options -as well as Andrew Bryniarski- for the role of 'Leatherface'.

After such a memorable and visceral performance in the 2003 remake, we set up this petition in the hope that you, the fans, would sign it; with us then forwarding it onto the studio (Newline) and the director and hopefully making an impression (and a difference).

We know it is said often, but it is time the makers of these films listened to the fans!

SEED OF CHUCKY REVIEW

The Pit at Fangoria LA, 2005

Pit of horror/Guts and Gory managed to represent at the recent Fangoria convention, sharing a table with GAG celeb, Stu Charno.

We met many celebs, dealers and fans alike and had a great time. We also got some great pictures and video footage for the website, so expect updates asap.

In the meantime, check out the Pit forum on GUTS...

NEW CREEPY MOVIE TECHNOLOGY

GUTS celeb Jonathan Breck, the creeper from the blockbuster horror movies, Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2, has informed us of his latest work, an L.A. based independent horror flick called, "Carbon Copy". Where apparently, the star informs us, that they are using a new kind of technology to make the movie really interactive to the viewer, as far as letting you choose paths in the story yourself and seeing where you end up...

Only one path is truly the correct one! More on this very soon...

Also worth noting is that we might be able to expect work starting on Jeepers Creepers 3 by this fall again with Salva at the helm. And if the success of the previous two movies is anything to go by, expect an even bigger budget and wacky script!

More new celebs on GUTS AND GORY!

Esteemed writer (Return of the living dead 4 & 5), director (Madhouse) and actor (Friday the 13th Part 7, Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 3) of the genre, William Butler, has added his own forum to GUTS AND GORY, and it has taken off like wild fire! Especially considering it has bearly been online for one month!

And to branch out further, a forum for Reggie Bannister the actor (Phantasm series) and musician has also been opened just4 days ago!

The somewhat-dormant SPECIAL FEATURES section has been augmented with several new reviews by John (including The Devil's Rejects as listed below), plus the Pit Of Horror review of runaway blockbuster Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith as well as a few previously unpublished reviews that Petch found floating around on his hard drive for the last couple of years. Enjoy!

EXCLUSIVE DEVIL'S REJECT'S REVIEW BY THE PIT

Our very own John Gray attended an official screener in Texas for Rob Zombie's new horror flick, The Devil's Rejects. Check it out right away!

GUTS AND GORY expands...

It just keeps on getting better and better, bigger and bigger...

Amy Steel and Steve Dash have just opened up official forums on GAG, bringing the total number of official celeb boards to twelve, plus the PIT, which equals 13.

Amy is one of the best loved Scream Queens from the Friday the 13th movies, playing Ginny in Part 2. Meanwhile Steve Dash has brought the truth, and the truth only with him to GAG: He was Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part 2 for the entire movie up until the very end, where Warrington plays the unmasked Jason.

This makes Steve, a welcome, but quite controversial addition to the board. We love it!

Currently we are in talks with three or four other celebs to open up forums on
GUTS AND GORY and we hope to be representing the site very soon at some big conventions, after a good spell of promotion at the recent Haunt Con in Texas, for the sites.

Stay Tuned.

One of GAG's very own...

Felissa Rose (Angela Baker from Sleepaway Camp, Return to Sleepaway Camp) and Paul Kratka (Rick from Friday the 13th Part 3) will be teamed up in indie filmmaker Scott Goldberg's new film 'Danielle's Revenge', shooting this fall on Long Island. "We are very happy to have Paul Kratka and Felissa Rose partake in this film," Director Scott Goldberg explains. "I basically believe in giving back to the horror community in which I have supported and loved ever since I was a young kid. I've always been a fan of horror and especially slasher films."

Danielle's Revenge is about a young, lonely girl, Danielle Stevenson whose soul is resurrected from the dead to take revenge at a summer camp. Scott is fed up with Hollywood's systematic material. "I am basically sick of the crap that is out today, such as studios not wanting to take the chance on a original film material. All they want is a sure fire way to make money, and what better way than do remakes. I'm not down for that. We need to bring back the REAL horror."

The film is currently in pre-production and will be shooting in Glen Cove, Long Island and surrounding areas starting October 2005. "We are also looking into horror actor and actresses from the 1980's to take part in this film because quite honestly, it's what the fans want to see." The film also stars Brenda Cooney, Peter Bron and Chiko Mendez. You can check out Danielle Revenge's Official Website at:
