the people who played jason... Friday the 13th pt 2 Steve Dash Steve Dash is responsible for playing Jason Voorhees for almost literally the entire movie. He was the man in costume for ALL the kills, the stalking and the infamous encounter where Amy Steel really injured Steve with that pick axe, almost taking one of his fingers clean off. Apparently there was alot of blood! Warrington Gillette played the unmasked Jason Voorhees in the movie's finale, where Jason crashes through the window and grabs Ginny. Warrington Gillete originally auditioned to get a speaking role in Friday the 13th Part 2 and ended up with the role of Jason Voorhees. However he was not actually hired to do the job of Jason throughout the flick, and would only play out the finale scene/stunt, since the make-up appliances were already fitted for his face and there was no time to rectify. Steve Dash, for the past twenty years, has had no real credit for playing the role, until now... GUTS AND GORY Little would either men know at the time how iconic this character would become in the movie world. He was the only 'adult' Jason not to wear the infamous hockey mask in a Friday the 13th picture. Steve Dash says: "...I had to use double face tape to keep the eye hole in the bag close to my face when I was chasing Amy and I had to remove the tape each day when we finished shooting. And as a result of the tape on my face I got burn marks on my forehead and cheek so, I think they didn't want the same problem in part 3, so they went to the hockey mask which I personally thought was a rip off of Halloween" << Back
