When A Stranger Calls

"Don't watch it alone!"

Clifford is frightened of what Duncan might do... The first fifteen minutes of "When A Stranger Calls" (1979) are quite possibly some of the most suspensful and finest the horror genre has ever seen. You will be on the edge of your chair, this I kid you not.

Duncan is a troubled man it seems... "When A Stranger Calls" entails the story of Curt Duncan (Played by Tony Beckley), a psychopathic murderer who after being apprehended by Detective John Clifford (Played by Charles Durning) and sent to Asylum, escapes to start more or less where he (Duncan) left off: murder.

CHECK THE CHILDREN! However "When A Stranger Calls" is not as straight forward as one might very wrongfully anticipate on first impressions, it has many a twist in the story and boasts a finale quite possibly equally as terrifying as the beginning of the movie - well it holds alot in common, let me just say that!

"When A Stranger Calls" is for certain, another precious part of our beloved horror movie genre and most certainly one you SHOULD watch alone (don't take the tag line too seriously)!
