Michael Myers FAQ:

Q1. Why did Myers kill his sister Judith?
A1. The guy is just seriously deranged - gets kicks out of killing family members :).

Q2. Does he has a middle name?
A2. Yes his middle name is - Audrey.

Q3. Why does his mask change in Halloween II to that of the mask in the
original?
A3. Because the masks are indeed different molds - both very spooky, but nonetheless different. Another point is in the original the mask is pure white - immaculate, while in H2 it has a yellow tint to it and also in the original his eyes were always blocked out, but in H2 Carpenter makes a point of exposing his eyes through the mask. All this factors contribute to the mask appearing differently in both films.

Q4. Why wasn't Michael killed in the original after being shot 7 times?
A4. My theory is that Michael's evil drives him on, yes he is wounded, we can see that in H2, but he sets the pain aside due to - in my opinion - pure evil inside of him. I compare his character to a real person: Rasputan the monk. He was shot 6 or 7 times - or so I hear - after being poisoned yet he still carried on - for a while. His evilness gave him some kind of tolerance.

Q5. What is the "Thorn" all about?
A5. The "Thorn" is a cult worshipping Michael yet they also seem to control him. It is just more plot twists that many despise.

Q6. Halloween III: Season Of The Witch is nothing to do with Michael Myers, why?
A6. After Halloween II John Carpenter felt that the Myers story was finished, he wanted only two movies and so he tried to bring the next Halloween sequel in a completely NEW direction, away from the whole Michael Myers story...hence Halloween III.

Q7. What about H20 - IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH H3-H6 - why?
A7. Also simple, the makers felt they should disregard the previous sequels after H20, Miner even had the cheek to comment on how H2 wasn't really a sequel to him. So he left off vaguely as far as H2 is concerned, but totally disregarded the following sequels trying to make H20 like a respectable sequel I guess.

Q8. Why didn't Carpenter continue to make the Halloween sequels or even
return for a finale with H20?
A8. Carpenter feels that Halloween has been and gone as far as his film making career is concerned - he didn't want any sequels after H2. Should we have respected his wishes? You decide...

Q9. Was Halloween based on a true story?
A9. Many don't know this, but it actually is. Or so Debra Hill says in an interview with herself and Carpenter in a short running TV show called "Clive Barker's A-Z of horror" - playing every Friday over here for a while with some of the classics. Hill said she and Carpenter got the idea from the crimes of a man who used to break into homes and watch people sleep and only when they woke would he killed them - with a wrench. You may say, what the hell has that got to do with Halloween and Myers? Well think about it this way - Myers is so relaxed and competent in the original and this murderous wrench weilding killer must have been relaxed in his work to wait until they woke before he pounded them to death. Those are my thoughts anyway...

That is all for now - hope I enlightened *at least some of you* die hard Myer's fans - probably not.
