DONALD PLEASENCE, Born 1919, died 1995:
a small tribute to a master, Donald Pleasence - a magnificent actor on whole and one of few key elements in the Halloween movies. His filmography is long and literally littered [excuse the tongue twister] with
quality films [as well as alot of not so 'quality' films] which Pleasence enhanced with quality acting. Horror fans remember him mostly for his role in the Halloween films, but his resume stretched far beyond this franchise which is dwarfed by his talent elevated
film career.
From "Phenomena" to "Prince Of Darkness" to "Escape From New York" and effectively from a Professor to a Priest and to a President - [=4 Ps] Pleasence's versatility is to be reckoned. With well over 180 acting roles on record alone,
his film career is huge and we should be thankful that such a man blessed us all with his undeniable talent and 'stand fast lines' which will stay with many of us forever...
